Course Overview
The ISTQB Test Automation Engineer Advanced Certificate Course runs over three-full days course, where it explains the tasks of a test automation engineer (TAE) in designing, developing, and maintaining test automation solutions.
The course includes exercises and practice exams to highlight key aspects of the syllabus and to help participants understand and practice the concepts and methods presented. The exam is held a few days after the course, thereby allowing good time for revision. It is accredited by the UKITB on behalf of ISTQB and is rated a level 5 in SFIS Plus The ISTQB Test Automation Engineer course is principally aimed at test practitioners who have achieved an advanced point in their careers in software testing and are expecting to be actively involved in the technical aspects of software testing, including test automation, non-functional testing, white-box testing, and who want to increase their knowledge and skills beyond the levels covered by the Foundation and Intermediate qualifications. Stephen Lacey| QA Engineer| Deezer –
Very good course, John actually taught us the subject properly and didn’t just rely on talking through test questions. Mind maps were very helpful and will be a great tool for revision before my exam.
Prince Yawlui| Principal Consultant| Capgemini –
A well run training with a lot of opportunities to ask questions, engaging trainer, and an extensive training material.
Natalie Brett| Test Engineer| Ordnance Survey –
Richard was a very good trainer, I enjoyed his style and his approach to doing test questions i.e. going into breakout rooms to discuss different scenarios, and doing example paper questions in our own time.
The majority of course material is presented as a mindmap, which I don’t find particularly helpful for learning, so I would have appreciated an alternative, not necessarily on the slides delivered but as another PDF that was provided at the start of the course.
Nia Dyson| –
Really great trainer who was happy to answer any questions we had
Harbir Sandhu| Test Lead| Capgemini –
– Course: Good content, lots to learn, relevant and interesting though.
– Trainer: Well paced learning throughout so it didn’t feel rushed at the end, extended lunch break to give more time for learning/revision
