Online exams

Looking for information about online exams? This page takes you through the different examining bodies, technical requirements and how to prepare on the day.

Book your exam at a time that works for you

Online exams are completed through a remote web proctoring service, using a webcam, microphone and a stable internet connection. This service is available for all PeopleCert, APMG, BCS, ISTQB and iSQI exams.

You are responsible for scheduling your own exam, which means you can book it for time that works for you.  At your scheduled time, a proctor will connect to supervise the exam online and you will complete it under live remote invigilation.

PeopleCert

PeopleCert courses available through TSG include PRINCE2® Project Management, PRINCE2 Agile and ITIL®, and all exams use the online remote proctor service. Following the purchase of your training course, we’ll email you within 48 hours with an invitation to register on the PeopleCert portal. Once you’re set up, you can book your exam for a date and time that works best for you.

For open book exams, you can only use the official hard copy books or e-books from VitalSource, but the e-books must be accessed on a separate device.

APMG

You can take your APMG International Change Management™, AgilePM®, Scrum Essentials, Scrum Master and Scrum Product Owner exams online.

BCS

From BCS, the Business Analysis Foundation, Modelling Business Processes, Requirements Engineering, and Business Analysis Practice exams all use the remote proctor service. Some ISTQB exams are also taken via BCS.

ISTQB

All ISTQB courses have exams associated with them and these can be taken with either BCS or iSQI. The specific examining body for your course will be noted on your joining instructions.

iSQI

iSQI is another examining body for ISTQB courses. Check your joining instructions to see which organisation you will be sitting your exam with for your ISTQB course. If it is iSQI, they will be in touch with you directly to organise your exam for a date and time of your choosing. Just look out for an email from exam@isqi.org.
