TSG Training Student Code of Conduct
1. Purpose
TSG Training is committed to providing a professional, inclusive, respectful, and safe learning environment for all learners, trainers, employees, and business partners.
This Code of Conduct sets out the standards of behaviour expected from all learners.
2. Scope
This Code applies to all learners participating in:
- Classroom training
- Virtual training
- Online learning environments
- sessments and examinations
- Any TSG Training events or learning activities
3. Expected Standards of Behaviour
Learners are expected to:
Respect Others
- Treat trainers, staff, and fellow learners courteously and professionally.
- Respect diversity, equality, and inclusion.
- Avoid discriminatory, offensive, or inappropriate behaviour.
Participate Professionally
- Dress in suitably appropriate business attire for the course
- Arrive on time for learning sessions.
- Engage constructively in learning activities.
- Complete assignments and assessments honestly.
- Follow trainer instructions.
Protect Learning Environments
- Use learning platforms appropriately.
- Maintain the security of passwords and accounts.
- Respect intellectual property rights.
Communicate Appropriately
- Use respectful language in all communications.
- Raise concerns constructively.
- Follow applicable social media and communications policies.
4. Academic Integrity
Learners must:
- Submit their own work.
- Not engage in plagiarism.
- Not use unauthorised materials during assessments.
- Not share examination content contrary to awarding body requirements.
- Not impersonate another learner.
Any form of academic misconduct or malpractice may result in disciplinary action and disqualification.
5. Online Learning Requirements
When attending virtual sessions, learners should:
- Participate from an appropriate environment.
- Minimise disruptions and background noise.
- Use professional and respectful communication.
- Comply with any recording or privacy requirements communicated by TSG Training.
6. Prohibited Conduct
The following behaviours are unacceptable:
- Harassment, bullying, or discrimination.
- Abusive, threatening, or intimidating behaviour.
- Dishonesty or fraud.
- Deliberate disruption of learning activities.
- Damage to property or systems.
- Unauthorised recording of training sessions.
- Sharing confidential or proprietary training materials.
- Any conduct that may damage the reputation of TSG Training.
7. Misconduct Investigation
Where alleged misconduct occurs, TSG Training may:
- Investigate the matter.
- Obtain statements from relevant individuals.
- Review learning records and system logs.
- Suspend learner access while investigations are undertaken where appropriate.
8. Sanctions
Where misconduct is confirmed, TSG Training may apply one or more of the following:
- Verbal warning
- Written warning
- Removal from a training session
- Suspension from learning activities
- Withdrawal from the course
- Reporting to an awarding organisation
- Permanent exclusion from future TSG Training courses
Sanctions will be proportionate to the nature and severity of the misconduct.
9. Complaints and Appeals
Learners may:
- Raise concerns under the Complaints Policy.
- Appeal disciplinary decisions within 10 working days of notification.
Appeals will be reviewed by an appropriately independent manager.
10. Acceptance
By enrolling on an TSG Training course, learners agree to comply with this Student Code of Conduct and any related policies, procedures, terms and conditions, or awarding body requirements.
Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action and/or removal from the programme.
This policy outlines TSG Training's approach to learners who do not successfully complete a course, training programme, or examination. The policy aims to ensure fair, transparent, and consistent treatment of all learners while maintaining the integrity and quality of TSG Training's training services.
