FAQs

This course combines two widely recognised ISTQB certifications to build both fundamental testing knowledge in traditional and agile environments. It helps professionals understand testing concepts and agile practices. You will explore how testing integrates with collaborative delivery approaches and contributes to maintaining software quality throughout development.

How does Agile testing differ from traditional testing?

Testing in agile environments aligns with iterative software development practices and involves closer collaboration within cross-functional teams, continuous testing activities and rapid feedback throughout development.

Do I need to take both exams during the course?

The course prepares you for both the ISTQB CTFL and CTFL-AT certifications. The exams are separate, and each certification is awarded individually once you achieve the required pass mark. Taking these exams allows you to demonstrate knowledge of both fundamental testing principles and agile practices.

What is the benefit of taking the combined course?

Taking the combined course allows you to study both foundation level certifications together in a structured learning experience. This approach helps you build a strong understanding of testing fundamentals before applying them within agile development environments, helping you develop a broader skill set that is relevant to software delivery teams.

What is the difference between CTFL and CTFL-AT?

The Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) focuses on the core principles of software testing, including testing processes and management. The Foundation Level Agile Tester extension builds on this knowledge by focusing on testing within agile development environments, covering collaboration and testing approaches used in iterative delivery teams.
