Practical Test Management – A Risk Based Approach

The course is based around a detailed and realistic case study and follows this ‘virtual’ project from inception, risk analysis and the generation of the test plan, the application of this plan to perform the testing, and then considers the testing that needs to be performed once the application goes ‘live’ by considering the appropriate responses to both ongoing and new risks.

The course is based on practical experience of applying risk-based testing on a variety of projects and will use the same principles underlying the new ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119 Software Testing standards.

Who is it for?

The Practical Test Manager course is principally aimed at test practitioners who are expecting to be actively involved in the management of any aspect of software testing, and who want to ensure that they are fully aware of current best industry practice.

This includes people in roles such as testers, test analysts, test engineers, test consultants, test managers, user acceptance testers and software developers.  This course is also appropriate for non-testers who want a deeper understanding of software testing, such as project managers, quality managers, software development managers, business analysts and management consultants.

Course Materials

Each delegate will be provided with their own manual comprising daily workbooks containing copies of all slides, along with supporting text, and case study documentation.  CDs containing soft copies of delegate manuals, relevant white papers and articles, and a variety of Test Management spreadsheets will also be provided.
